I don’t know about you, but I have caught the Rae Dunn bug and have jumped on the bandwagon! I love the chic pottery with long lettering just as much as the next gal. However, it is SO difficult to find. I find myself looking for the stuff at TJ Maxx every time I go and feeling like I’ve won the lottery if I find a piece! Recently, Rae Dunn came out with these awesome Christmas ornaments that people will seriously fight over in the store. A lot of people resell their finds on Facebook or other online marketplaces for sometimes triple the price! If you are a Rae Dunn nut, but don’t want to spend a fortune or fight Karen (fictional person) in a local tj maxx trying to acquire these chic ornaments, keep reading! This DIY is for you.
Above are the real Rae Dunn ornaments. I started this DIY looking for someone who could make me these inspired decals for cheap. I found several on Etsy for a range of prices, but you can get them for a little less than $1 a piece. If you’re a rockstar and have a cricut machine, then you could probably make these yourself. Next, I ordered plastic non shatter white ornaments off of Wayfair. When I got the decals in the mail, I used a credit card to smoothly apply them onto the ornament centering them the best I could.
Last, but not least… here is my finished products! I am going to add a buffalo plaid ribbon to hang them on my tree. I know it’s not the real thing, but it was a cheap way of getting the same cute look. I did 15 ornaments for around $25.
Thanks for sharing! Your ornaments look great-I’m going to have to try this project myself. 🙂
