Harvest time is officially over at my family farm! Woo hoo! As much as I love harvesting our crops with my brother, grandpa, and my dad… I am so glad we are on the other side of it now! It’s been an interesting season considering we didn’t truly get a fall (thanks Indiana) haha. Regardless, we powered through and now we can enjoy thanksgiving this week not stressing about our crops. I told my dad I felt like this harvest was never ending, but he told me before his time in my grandpas time farming, there were years they harvested until December! Can you imagine?? For those of you still trying to get all of your crops in, Godspeed my friends.
Another update: I shot my first buck this weekend! An opening weekend buck! It was the experience of a lifetime and I am so thankful God gave me the opportunity to harvest such a beautiful animal! He is a gorgeous 8 point.
Now, it’s time to put on my stretchy pants, consume my weight in carbs, and enjoy thanksgiving week at the chicken farm! Happy thanksgiving! Stay tuned for next week’s blog post. ❤️
